What other instruments would you like to learn?  Piano, Stings and oh a HARP would be nice to learn. GOD I’m still learning to play the drums!!

Musical  Influences:  I’m influenced by the ladies…of music that is ha! Heart, Runaways, P.J Harvey,Joan Jett, Lita Ford,Pat Benatar, Wendy O Williams , Girl School and of coarse ACDC!

Drum Influences:  Sheila E is phenomenal!!Tommy Lee, Phil Rudd,and who ever the hell came up with the beat to Toni Basil’s MICKEY!!Thanks!

Other bands I play in?  I sing in LD AND HER PRETTY PRETTIES….Or at least I like to call it singing

What makes your job most enjoyable?  Playing music that makes people happy as much as it makes ME happy to play! Playing with four of the most talented ladies I’ve ever known is extremely enjoyable! DAMN these girls ROCK don’t they? Glad to have them as friends and comrades of ROCK!

Worst part of job?  Missing important family events sucks.

Do you have any formal training or are you just a genius?  I was in the school band from 5^th thru 12^th grade including marching band but that just made me hate football for taking up my Friday nights I’m mostly self taught

Favorite ACDC song to play?  Problem child, Shoot to thrill

Favorite venue to play?  Show box in Seattle really stands out to me… oh and the goddess parties we’d put on have sentimental values

Do you have a favorite moment playing in the Belles?  I had the pleasure of being in the Belles back in 2000 when it first formed. We had no idea what we had started! We set out to play a few shows for fun. Picked our favorite ACDC songs to play and when we first played out, we were floored at how many people came out to see us! Some came out to judge us of course and to see if girls could actually pull it off but most came out because they were huge AC/DC fans and were excited to just hear AC/DC’s music, they didn’t CARE we were girls! They just wanted to rock like we did! So that entire first year! Every show was amazing! It was new…we didn’t know what to expect and we were shocked & amazed by the turn outs each and every night…that’s what I look forward to most playing with these ladies now, to grow with them to share new experiences with them and to melt people’s faces off with the power of ROCK!!

Favorite TV show?  TRUE BLOOD….I am utterly obsessed!!

Who do you like to sit next to on the bus?  I go by days of the week..so Friday Amber, Saturday Lisa, Sunday  Mandy, Monday  Adrian and so  on…I’m kidding…. wherever I fit is where I sit!

Random fun fact about yourself?  Well it’s more just a fact. Mandy and I have been friends for many, many, years since 94’ or 95’.She was in another band when we (Belles) formed. A mutual friend of ours, Heather Moritz, was the Belles bassist at the time & they were seeking a drummer. Heather asked Mandy if she knew of anyone who would be interested and Mandy said “why don’t you call Laura D?” Heather called me, I said “HELL YEAH!!” So we were formed. A year after that, Heather left to pursue other interests, so we took a shot at asking Mandy if she would be interested she said ”Hell Yeah”, and the rest is herstory (ha)! So I pretty much owe it all to Mandy! That’s some Ying Yang/ Alpha & Omega shit right there. She makes the rhythm section TOUGH!  If you ask me, she IS the backbone in more ways than one! I played with Adrian when she was Malcolm, so to switch from Malcolm to Angus is pretty effin’ amazing by the way! This is just kind of a reunion of sorts! I’m so super excited to playing with Jaime and Lisa!!Those two are some ridiculously talented ladies right there! It was meant to be and that’s my fun fact so queue Behind the Music now please.
