Name:  Mandy Reed

Role in Hell's Belles:  Cliff Williams

Instruments and equipment:  Music Man Stingray/ Fender Bassman Head/ Ampeg 6X10 cab AND Ampeg SVT/ Ampeg 8X10 cab. (backline)

Hometown:  Port Townsend, WA

Where do you live now?  Port Orchard, WA

When did you start playing?  I picked up my first instrument, sometime in '92

What other instruments do you play?  I put the bass down to learn guitar, and stuck with guitar for about 7 years, and then switched back to bass when I joined Hell's Belles. I also dabble on the drums, but I'm not that good yet.

What other instruments would you like to learn?  I'd like to learn how to play the piano...Elton John or Derek & the Dominos style.

Other bands you play in:   Melodie and I play in a band called Neutral Boy based out of Bremerton.. mainly punk with some straight forward rock overtones. My brother Mike Moen AKA Frottage or Mike The Pike, fronts the band, and is also one my biggest influences. We don't have a website but we are on MySpace.  www.myspace.com/neutralboy  We play anywhere and anytime we can.

What makes your job playing AC/DC most enjoyable?  Being able to rock one of my all time favorite bands to sold out crowds. It's AC/DC for cryin' in the night! Good stuff.

What's the worst part of the job?  Flying. I hate flying. As often as I do it, my neurotic ass never gets used to it.

Do you have any formal music training or are you just a genius?  No formal music training. Everything is by ear, however I'd love to have some training. It would be cool to sit in with other musicians and playing songs just by knowing what key it's in. It's like a foreign language to me.

Do you have a "favorite moment" story about playing in Hell's Belles?  My favorite moment in the history of Hell's Belles, is sitting backstage at the Tacoma Dome, watching AC/DC walk into the room one by one. I'll never forget it. Super cool, down to earth guys. They are so small in person, but their presence is huge.

What's your favorite AC/DC song to play?  It was Riff Raff for the longest time, but lately If You Want Blood is at the top of my list. Riff Raff is still up there though.

What's your favorite venue to play?  ewww. There are so many good ones, I don't know if I can pick just one. Vail is sticking out in my head... only because we just played there, and when the crowd starts moving, the stage starts moving. It's pretty wild.

Favorite TV show:  Three's Company. I have all the seasons so far. Hazel says I'm a nerd.

Who do you sit next to on the bus?  I'm drivin' bitches!

Random fun fact about yourself:  My great great great great great great grandma was a Blackfoot indian princess.
